About

Tim was born in Montana but raised in Idaho, spending his younger years in Riggins and moving to Emmett in 1990.  In 1997, Tim traveled the world to figure out what he wanted to do.  During his travels, he realized that he didn’t want to do one thing, he wanted to do a little bit of everything.  After dabbling in a few ventures, Tim joined the Army National Guard in January of 2001.

After a couple years of time in the service, he was deployed to Iraq in 2004 for his first of 2 tours.  The break in between tours found Tim time to become his favorite “job”, and that was becoming a dad.  The first of his 4 boys was born in 2006, and in 2009 he met his wife, Kim,  and 2nd son.  In 2010, Tim deployed for his second and final tour.  This tour was not kind to Tim’s body and after his return in late 2011, the surgeries started, and boy number 3 came along in November of 2012.  After 2 back surgeries and 2 shoulder surgeries, boy number 4 joined the family in November 2013.

The kids stopped for a few years but the surgeries didn’t.  Tim continued on with surgery and recovery for 3 more years.  In 2016 he had his 11th surgery, and he and his wife welcomed their adopted in love daughter into their family.  The surgery in 2016 was not a typical surgery for Tim as his best friend took his life during that surgery.  This set Tim on a mission of healing his inner self.  After 4 months of intense functional medical treatment, Tim was able to turn the life that he was told he would be in around to a new world of function again.

Through a series of events Tim ended up starting in the world of hydroponics and leading in to aquaponics and animal husbandry.  Through trial and tribulation the decision was made to focus on the things that continue to bring healing and happiness, and that is horses, and cattle, and people that live that lifestyle.  5 Star Boarding and Equine Center has been a process in the making for quite some time and is finally a reality and Tim can’t wait to share it with you.
